Introduction
What is the Company for?
- Companies are the main organizational unit in WebAccess/DMP and can be organized into hierarchies, allowing for more complex organizational structures with parent and child companies.
- They are used to group devices and users together, manage permissions, and control access to features based on company type.
- Each company has its own set of devices, users, and configurations.
How It Works
- The most common approach is for an existing user to invite others to join their company.
- Alternatively, if you are the first user from your organization, you will be prompted to create a company after signing in for the first time.
- Creating a company is free, and each account can have multiple companies.
- The user who creates a company automatically becomes its Company Admin and can manage the company, its devices, and its users. Permissions for invited users are assigned by the Company Admin or by other users with the appropriate privileges.
- You can see the company name in the upper-left corner of the WebAccess/DMP interface. If you are a member of multiple companies, click on it to open the company switcher, where you can select a different company.
